Description    

  • This is the 2nd annual Triathlon that is the first race in the Alamo Triathlon Series for 2010 presented by Tri-Sition Area Triathlon store and produced by Redemption Race Productions.
  • The Windcrest Freshman Triathlon is a great first race of the season. It is designed with the beginner in mind but is also an early season test for the experienced athlete.

 


Course Info    

  • The swim is a 200 meter snake style pool swim. Time trial start.
  • The bike course is a 2 loop 10 mile circular course that has twists and turns a plenty.  See video of the Bike Route.
  • The run is a 2 mile run that loops around the beautiful Windcrest golf course.

  • 6:00        Transition Opens.
  • 7:30        Registraion and Pack Pickup Close.
  • 7:45        Pre-Race Meeting.
  • 8:00        Race Starts.
  • 9:30        Awards

Directions    
The Windcrest Freshman Triathlon will be held at the Windcrest Pool located at 5609 Winsong Road located in the small City of Windcrest on the Northeast side of San Antonio, Texas.

Directions are as follows:

  • From IH35 exit Walzem Road and head East.
  • Turn left on Windway Road, look for the Bill Millers Restraunt on the left.
  • Stay on Windway until you get to Faircrest Drive.
  • Take a left on Faircrest Drive and proceed to the Pool.

  • By becoming a volunteer you will be helping to unsure that our athletes have the best race possible. You will also gain insight to the behind the scenes workings of a triathlon. This information can be invaluable to your next race.

Race Instructions:

  • Park inside the park as directed…………
  • The race is chip timed: timing chips are available race morning at the pavilion.
  • Check-in/Body marking starts at 6:00am.
  • Before you enter the transition area you must have your race number and be body marked.
  • Please firmly attach the bike number to your bike. You will not be allowed to remove your bike from the transition area without matching your bike number with your bib number or body marking number.
  • Awards shortly after the last person has finished.
  • Race Day Packet pickup 6:00am-7:00am, $10 additional cash or check only.

  • No Refunds
  • All registrants after April 25th will not be guaranteed a goody bag or specific shirt size.
  • Must show USAT member card and photo ID at packet pick-up.
  • All relay members must come pick up packet together.
  • $10 USAT one day permit, payable at packet pickup only. 
  • Do not send USAT permit fee with entry fee. 
  • Sign up early for race fee discount and guaranteed t-shirt.
  • Event is chip-timed.  We will provide the chip, please leave personal timing chips at home.
  • Refreshments provided. A variety of food and drinks will be available after the event.
